Local Mission
Many people think ‘missions’ is an ‘overseas’ event. In truth, our everyday lives are the context for the mission of God to save and heal and restore people to relationship with Himself. Jesus sets the standard for our everyday mission in Matthew 5:13-14 You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot. You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.” (NIV)  Jesus identifies his followers as ‘salt and light’.  Salt preserves, disinfects and adds flavor.  Light dispels darkness and allows us to see clearly. Christians are positioned for impact right where we are each day at home, in our neighborhoods, businesses, schools and public spaces. People who trust Jesus as Savior and follow Him as their Leader have the great privilege of sharing his love and grace wherever they go. Together, the followers of Jesus partner with each other in their local neighborhoods and communities to demonstrate God’s goodness.
Cariboo Bethel has many partners in our community:
The Williams Lake Pastors Fellowship represents churches networked together to share the Good News about Jesus in Williams Lake and in our region.
The Christian Leaders Network  brings together local pastors, business people, civic leaders, church folks and citizens of Williams Lake for one purpose: The whole church loving the whole community with the whole Gospel.
Camp Likely  is a fantastic christian Bible camp operating every summer on the pristine shores of Quesnel Lake near Likely, British Columbia.  Cariboo Bethel is proud to partner with Camp Likely in many ways.
The Salvation Army is more than just another church in town. We partner with The Salvation Army because they are expressing the love and mercy of Jesus in so many practical ways to those who need it most in our community.
