Your Deepest Need

We truly believe that the Bible is inspired and trustworthy. It doesn’t lead us wrong. It is the truth given to us by God to lead us to Himself. The Bible says so clearly that the deepest need of every person is to begin Life Transforming Relationship with Jesus. Relationship with God through Jesus is offered to us not because of our religious efforts, but freely by God’s own choice. This is Grace. The Grace of God is offered to us through Jesus Christ. Romans 3:23-24 says “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.”

Talking about ‘Sin’ may sound old fashioned, but it is the core problem we face. We are lost and broken, living in rebellion against God. We have chosen our own way rather than trusting that God’s way is best. In our sin, we gave up the glory that God intended for us when he made us in His own image (imago Dei).

But God has vanquished the power of sin and death through Jesus Christ. He is totally committed to setting everything right, to restoring us to right relationship with Himself, and to reshaping us in the likeness of His Son Jesus. He has accomplished (and will accomplish) all of this through the life, death and resurrection of Jesus His Son. God’s solution for our core problem came through Jesus. We enter fully into His solution when we put our faith in the life, death and resurrection of Jesus. We receive God’s Grace, we are given new life, we are restored to right relationship with God–when we trust Jesus as our Savior and begin to follow Him as the Leader of our life. 2Corinthians 5:17-18 says “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! 18 All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ.” (NIV)

Every person who trusts Jesus as Lord and Savior is filled with the Spirit of God.  The moment that you put your hope and trust in God through Jesus, you are filled with His very own Spirit! You no longer have to live under your own power. God indwells you!

This is the start of the Good News of Jesus. And there is so much more. Listen to the words of Jesus in John 10:10 “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it abundantly.” (NIV) Listen to what John said about Jesus in John 1:12 “Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.” (NIV)

We would like to encourage you to respond to the Good News about Jesus.  You don’t have to wait for abundant life with God. Begin a Life Transforming Relationship with Jesus right now.  Your adoption into His family begins the moment you trust Him. It begins very simply. Just talk to Him, as you are, where you are. You don’t need fancy words:

“God, I believe what you say about sin. It is devastating and I have felt it’s pain in my own life. I trust your solution. Jesus’ life, death and resurrection means my sin is forgiven and new life is available.  Thank You!  I trust you, Jesus, to be my Saviour, and I want you to be the Leader of my life. I want you to be my Saviour, my Healer, and my Teacher. You are my Lord and Saviour, and right now I receive the grace, the new life and the freedom that you died to give me. Amen.”
